Needles to Say

TV5's annual physical exam for regular employees started yesterday so I expected to meet a syringe for our blood test! Ughhhh I hate needles! Ironically, tattoos are exemptions! Haha I got five Ts but seeing a tat machine doesn't freak me out. Whenever I see syringes, I feel numb, my hands and feet feel cold and my legs shake! I've undergone several physical examinations and it's a must for me to be accompanied by someone I could hug or PINCH. It's so shameful to hug someone at work... you might think it's OA but honestly, it scares the hell out of me.

I am so proud to say that I survived today's blood test alone! Well, not literally alone because I got some friends to take pictures of me. But it's still a major hurray because I just smiled all throughout the "blood extraction". Did I say the right term? Forgive and correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Kristine and I in line, waiting for our turn. (Never mind the Ate frowning. Hehe.)

Tin's turn! Look at her almost kagat-labi look!

MY TURN! Really, I felt so cold! My palms were also sweaty!

Me signing up! Sorry for my slouchy look. :s

Here I go! I'm quite in pain but I still managed to smile. :)

"Close your eyes when it hurts..." Chos!

Look at us, 'Ma! :)

Right after this, we had super duper heavy breakfast at the caf and finished my meal in less than five minutes! Little did I know we need to do fasting so I sacrificed today's breakfast at home. I hope to get good medical results! Wish me luck! :)

Girl Friends and Boyfriends

It's a long weekend last week! Spent Saturday and Sunday with my girl friends and our boyfriends. Nothing beats bonding moments plus the fact that there will be an addition to our family (K can't wait to have a playmate)! I don't want to spill haha so I'm starting my post-weekend stories now!

Happy birthday, Little Susie! :)

We had  a simple birthday dinner with my Happy Lemon girl, Susie, who turned 23 last August 18. It was a Peri-Peri, Promenade celebration with Reyneil, Kim and Mon, Rachel, Jovy and I and Paolo.

Spot Paolo doing Mon's favorite pose.

We all had a good laugh talking about some things and how excited we are in preparation of something very special. Expect to see some changes in the coming weeks and months! I am so excited to be a part of it! <3

Paolo and I came in matching colors, gray! We're such a couple with telepathic minds! Cute, simple things always count! I love it!

I love you, birthday girl!

We then transferred to Happy Lemon but it's oveeeeerrrrrrrcrowded so we stayed at Starbucks. Some bought frappuccinos but Susie, Reyniel, Paolo and I chose Happy Lemon. I finally had a taste of their bestseller, Lemon Yakult, which I always mistakenly call as Yemon Lakult!

Girls who need to diet, seriously! L-R: Me, Jovy, Susie, Kim and Rachel.

Group shot! ;p Now with the boys Paolo, Mon and Reyneil.

El pajabol: Me at the parking lot with my Happy Lemon's Lemon Yakult.

Last Sunday, the same girls and I had another FIRST in our lives together. I really can't say what's that about for now and I have no right to announce it initially although I'm so itching to share even a point of this coming "event", I still don't want to! I respect the people responsible for that. :) Anyway, after this "first", Paolo and I headed straight to Timog for some Karaoke Republic moment with high school friends, thinking it was Ailyn's birthday celebration! She also turned 23 on the same day Susie did.

GMMMMM: Gian, Marianne, Maro, Mika, Monte and Mark!

Ailyn did not make it so everything turned out to be a triple date! Good thing Johnson arrived less than an hour before we left. We sang old school songs from Patti Austin to N'SYNC, A1 and The Corrs. We also didn't miss Britney Spears' hits plus my favorites The Script, Plain White T's, The Fray and Mark's and Paolo's Nickelback and Korn!

The girls: Marianne, Maro and Mika.

The boys: Monte, Mark and Paolo.

Mika and I. Spot our Longchamp bags! ♥

Ailyn missed us for the third time!

Vaughn-ita followed!

We went home past 2:00 AM. Why do we always go out on a Sunday night? Hopefully, we'll set our next date on a Friday or Saturday night. No to time pressure! But no regrets. You know me, I hate it when I lack sleep but of course, good times are worth sleepless nights. Add Monthly Period--the best of times! I miss them! Fun, fun, fun! I really love August! Now I'm looking forward to the next looooong weekend in two days!

TV5 brings you the InterAksyon iOS app and it can now be installed from the App World for free! If you're an iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad user, you can enjoy this very useful app which, by the way, requires iOS 3.0 or later.

I installed it the same day it was released and let me tell you that even if I do not work for TV5, this app definitely helps a lot.

InterAksyon (.com) is the online news portal of TV5.

So wait, there's more:

Breaking and National news.

These news are gathered from News5, the dedicated news pool of TV5, as well as from Radyo5 92.3 News FM and AKTV. Access the latest news anytime, anywhere! You're on the go and you're surely in-the-know, InterAksyon.com unlimited!

The app features live tweets from the official Twitter accounts of TV5, News5 and other anchors, reporters like Martin Andanar, Paolo Bediones, Shawn Yao, Lourd de Veyra, Trish Roque and even News and Information chief officer, Ms. Luchi Cruz-Valdes.

You can also add favorites/bookmarks and save news!

On your selected article, you have the option to tweet it, share the link on Facebook, email it, save it or view its web version. A web version will look like this:

Bongga, Kapatid!

Radyo5 92.3 News FM!

If you are too lazy to read, fret not! Plug in your headphones and voila! You can listen to Radyo5 92.3 News FM! Isn't this great? :)

TV5-MMDA Traffic Navigator

Hate traffic? InterAksyon app also brings you the BEST online traffic information system. It will help you track the road less traveled and get to your destination fuss-free! Two thumbs APP!

Get it from your App Store and search InterAksyon or click here. If you're a Blackberry and/or Android user, we'll have also have an Interaksyon App for you coming real soon! Stay tuned!

La Lóca

Lóca Trends is a new online shop owned by three of my dearest friends. On its launching collection, I helped them showcase their sassy and urbane clothes, perfect for women of all ages.

Photography by Mika Artienda, assisted by Johnson Hautea
Makeup and styling by Marianne Marcial, assisted by Maro Gigante
Modeling by Kaye Quong
Shot on location at Callospa Resort, Antipolo City

Clothes provided by Loca Trends.
Bags, shoes and other accessories, stylist's own. Not for sale.

Lóca Trends has definitely got the trend! Floral, nautical, animal prints (which are all my favorites), dresses, skirts and cardigans, they have it. I'm showing you some of my favorites from their first ever collection:

Leopard crop top paired with a stretchable high-waist black skirt.

Short sleeves striped dress with fuchsia pink band detail.

Floral string strap body hugging dress, belt not included.

Ethnic-designed v-neck dress in pink.

On a stylist's view, the following are two of my favorite picks. However, Lóca Trends did not include this in their First Lóca collection but who knows, they might sell these in their future collections:

This pink cardigan caught my eye! You can wear it with anything, you can wear it the way you want it to be worn, you can wear it with any color and you can wear it anytime of the day. I opted to pair it with an almost all-black ensemble. Fierce because of black but the girlishness remains, thanks to that pop of pink! Superlove!

This made it to Lóca Trends' logo! Oops, this post shows my love for black and pink!

Wanna be a Lóca girl? Add them on Facebook! And oh, Lóca Trends collaborated with my favorite MARiS Unique Pieces as well! Love fashion? Love them and show them your support. :)

Wall Photo

I found a set of photos in my phone's camera roll and noticed that my usual backdrop is... a wall just a few steps away from my work station. I like taking my pictures against it because of its color that always gets along with anything I wear. Not to mention the off-white carpet that's perfectly fine as well.

But oh, I decided to edit this set in black and white for more drama. I had these taken last Friday, when I got in to the office earlier than my usual arrival, with my "fresh-from-home" look + wet hair and newly-applied makeup. Forgive me for my lack of good posture, though.

I also tried to imitate THE Divine Lee's pose, crossover. I had a hard time striking it because my legs are "sakang" hehe but at least I tried! I did not, also, succeed imitating her fierce face. No inner beckiness in me!

I subtly did it for the second time, but I tell you that the main purpose of this pose is to show you my wrist tattoo! Next to my wrist tattoo is my hair which is longer now. Yahoo! But even though it looks thick, I don't plan to have it cut because I have better plans for it. Waiting is quite painful but eventually, my hair will be va-va-vooooom! High hopes, high hopes!

My last attempt to crossover FAILED because of my jeans. It's a high-waist pair but it looked like a harem one in this photo! I also looked shorter (hmpppppppp)! Omg why.

Moving on... My Primadonna clogs are extreeeeemely comfortable, it's like you're wearing ballet flats! It's super light, soft and I bet I can run while wearing it. I love Primadonna shoes! ♥
