January 2013

The first month of the year just passed by and as I enjoy my fifth month of pregnancy, I haven't gotten the chance to blog at all. My mind is so filled with many stories to tell. I am so happy to be surrounded by happy and supportive friends, teammates and family.

Now to give my great January 2013 a wrap:

TV5 Go 5! Press and Trade Launch with one of my sponsors, Mr. Raymond Gorospe, General Manager of Sky Fitness Manila.

Jovy's kinda flop "denim" party haha!:)

Photobooth shots from Zack's 7th birthday party.

More of Zack's birthday...

...and pool party. Girlfriends with my high school super friend Ram. :)

And finally! Monthly Period friends during DLSAU's Foundation Day. I didn't stay for so long though, but I'm glad to spend an hour or so with my greatest barkada.

Everyone, I'm pleased to introduce my new teammates Tim, Jess and Paco. I bet you already know Lanz and that old gentleman (HAHAHA) Jay! Calling, calling Honey!

There you go, so that's how my days went by. Definitely full of fun! :) Now it's my favorite month, I bet this is going to be filled with L-O=V-E! Have a fab Feb! <3

A Month of Sundays via Instagam

Unbelievable. Nine days to go before we bid September goodbye and  I only have one post for this month.

I want to blame our super not trusty and rusty wifi connection at home (ANO BAYAN?) because everytime I start composing my thoughts, it always says "An error occurred while trying to save or publish your post. Please try again." I can't help not to ignore the warning. It's too discouraging. Next thing I know, I already closed the window and move on with my life.

AND IT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.

I'm so trying my best not to click the upper red x of my browser as I continue typing this message of dismay...

Never mind. Let's get moving. I just want to make up and share what kept me busy during the days I missed blogging. Thank heavens for Instagram, I'm still capable of supporting my stories with photos of wonder moments and nonsenses.

Monthly Period, September 2012 :)

Lunch out with cousins during the Grandparents' Day.

I have countless lunch-dinner dates with Monica lately. Here we are dining in at Bai Yok, an "authentic" Thai cuisine.

We went to Century Park Hotel last week for a gown-fitting with the family. With me were my ever so supportive sisters!

Minna might curse me for reposting this but I don't care. I hate to say this but I guess this will be our last (complete) group shot for now. </3

Monica and I Freyja-d once again. We love Freyja! Story behind this photo soon. :)

That's all for now. It breaks my heart to see only a couple of entries this September.. I promise to try my best to at least make it five. If you have any suggestions or requests (hahaha feel ko lang) on what you want me to write, just tweet, email or send me a message anywhere. You may also leave a comment below.

Have a happy weekend!

da.u.de

Across our office building in The Fort is a new classy tea lounge named da.u.de [da-you-deh]. The facade is very inviting it will make you want to try it. Colorful jars give life to its black, white and silver interiors and tea leaves displayed by the window show they serve real tea.

Despite my numerous attempts of going down during break time at work, I didn't get the chance to visit da.u.de until that Friday night when Toto decided to visit me. Finally I got to try our neighborhood tea! Mia came in a bit late, too, and enjoyed her berry beer!

A beautiful scene and a courteous staff will welcome you at this not-so-secret hiding place.

YUM!

Well, Young, Spike -- that's how they define their teas. I love how brilliant the idea is. I actually want to try them all! But what makes da.u.de much more exciting is the fact that it's managed by a Filipino. Renee Sebastian is the country's first Certified Tea Master. Let's talk about professionalism despite the countless tea shops in and out the metro!

With my dear Toto while waiting for our resident nocturnal, Mia.

Mia finally arrived! And puyat si girl. Haha!

<3

It's a Monthly Period day tomorrow! I hope to see the rest of the group this week! I think it's a good idea to spend time together at da.u.de. Whatchuthink?

Know more about da.u.de by clicking this link. Follow them on Twitter, too: @lovedaude

Have a great week ahead!

Marianne x Hello Kitty

When people asked me if I'm throwing a bash for my 24th birthday, I said yes, even if I was unsure. My friends got excited and they were all eager to know what the theme's gonna be. I honestly couldn't think of anything else other than animal prints. Maybe neon? Or pastel? What a worldly problem I had. Until one day I realized that aside from animal prints, Hello Kitty has my heart.

I grew up owning Hello Kitty items straight from Tokyo, thanks to my ever loving Tita Teng who never fails (until now) in sending me packages of Sanrio goodies.

I also put myself in my friends' shoes thinking how hard it would be for them to search for neon or pastel dresses/clothes because even I myself had a hard time on them. Hello Kitty is super famous, can be found anywhere whether you're in a tiangge or in a mall and above all, Hello Kitty is a cutie patootie! I'd love to see everyone wearing something with Hello Kitty on it... on my birthday celebration.

The venue was never a problem since Discovery Suites is my second home in the metro. Paolo directed everything--from food, drink, the setup, the guests. A week before the party he started searching and buying all the party needs. He downloaded the music and even bought my outfit. During the day of my party, he picked me up from home with his car filled with all the night's essentials, as if we're going to a big family picnic. I went to my friend's wedding after checking in at the hotel. A couple of hours after, he's done with the cooking, blew all the balloons by himself and rearranged the room. All he ever asked me to do was to fix myself to be ready for my party. :)

The first guests who arrived were my sisters and cousins, followed by Paolo's cousins, high school friends, college friends, another two sets of high school friends and more. From last year's 25 guests, I think I had almost 40 guests (out of the 60 we invited) this time.

Photo bombs! For your guidance, dresscode: Ladies to wear something with Hello Kitty, gentlemen to wear white, ladies and gentlemen not to wear black... except me!

Brothers and sisters: Miming, Ate Mai, Jeric and Kuya Archie.

The future in-laws: Paolo's siblings and cousins, plus his best friend with his best friend's girlfriend!

Monthly Period with the two boys in town, Patrick and Jallo.

More Girlfriends in the house!

The night was young when we started. We served sweets and more sweets to set the mood right. Marshmallows, filled cookies, jelly candies, strawberry sticks and cupcakes. Don, Paolo's cousin, helped me with the ladies' drinks: mudslide and orange-flavored zombie. And while the men enjoyed their cans of beer, I unconsciously finished a bottle of chardonnay. :)

Spot me getting started on that bottle of wine.

I was so happy that Paolo didn't drink too much and that he knocked himself out so early. Way to go, babe!

Stolen shots. <3

The birthday bash was also a sort of reunion party. Remember Rachel-Toto from my last year's celebration?

Click here in case you forgot.

Two of my best friends for life. <3

High school reunion! Super happy that MMMM+V came. :)

The night was also filled with picture takings here and there but flop, I forgot to remind everyone that I planned to take a Call Me Maybe vid while we're all in one roof. Nobody ever did remind me as well, I only recalled the idea yesterday. :|

We might have forgotten it, but we had loads of beautiful group shots --

Thank you for coming, family and friends! :)

The birthday girl really had a great night. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Other photos (food, drinks, cupcakes, gifts, what I wore, etc.) will be posted on Instagram! I was so busy I forgot to take photos of them using the camera.

I'd also like to commend Discovery Suites for always surprising me with the sweetest stuff literally and figuratively. The moment we entered our suite, a banner with "Happy birthday, Ms. Marcial" greeted me. They also sent me slices of cakes, a platter of pastries and pieces of chocolate truffles. Thank you!

My photos show how happy and thankful I am not only because of the successful birthday bash we threw, but because I got to spend another special moment of fun, laughter and memories with the people who are so dear to me. :)

I am Superloved because of you!

Two Weeks (Un)Noticed

I missed Superloved!

How's everyone doing? It's Monday night and I'm thankful for Philippine Independence, we're all free to spend the night longer than the usual. I'm staying for extra hours tonight to work on some deliverables--overdue blog entries.

May's officially over and June is here to bring me another year older. But before that, join me as I show you my life in two weeks through snapshots, thanks to my phone camera which captured the itsy bitsy events of the past weeks!

I will blog about the highlights separately, of course! But let me spend the free time to let you know that even if things are keeping me busy, I'll go and find a way to update my blog. :)

A kiss from the birthday boy! Paolo's 26th birthday.

A quick date with Doms and Kim on the night she handed us the invitation cards for Nei-Nei's Christening...

...and a Chewy Junior treat from Doms! Ahhh anything for sweets!

On the 6th day of June, my phone alarmed me of such a sweet reminder. 'Twas our 100th month together! (Oh yes, we still do celebrate monthsaries!)

Four months have passed and here I am again with some of my college best girl friends! Mika's birthday bash at Tides last Friday! Her birthday won't end until she says so... so happy birthday to the lady behind Maris! Mika, Marianne and Maro reunited :)

On our way to Nei-Nei's Christening the following day with only two hours of sleep!

My best friend's baby girl is such a Barbie doll! Khara is so beautiful and adorable, just like her Mom (and her Mommy Ninang!):D

With three of my original college Girlfriends: Jovy, Phoebe and Susie. Nothing beats! <3

Mad rush to Kalyx's Christening celebration right after Nei-Nei's! With Une, Kristel and Jec.

Une and I at Barney's pa-party!

Meet the biggest stars: Nei-Nei and Kalyx! The two main reasons why we're celebrating! :)

I'm still waiting for the high-res photos from all these past events. I promise to share stories about them as soon as I get my copies.

I hope you all missed Superloved like I do.

Good night and enjoy the Philippine Independence holiday!

Marianne
